Forgot to tell you - I already looked into this game.

Looks pretty good but the timing is unfortunate - right around the same time as DCUO. I'll have to decide which one to get.

Wasn't interested in this until I read that you can't be established DC characters, but you create characters that then interact within the DC universe.

Apparently people are pissed off about this.
I think it's the games redeeming quality

Some info on the release - http://www.ps3trophies.org/news/news-1936-Two-Worlds-II-Delayed-Into-January-2011.html

It will be available in Europe (that includes here) in October, but North America will have to wait until January 2011 for their local release. It's good that Southpeak are giving the game a thorough quality test, but why does only America get that sort of quality treatment?
I will buy the game next month, and I hope it's not too different to the American release next year.

This is about the only game I am excited for right now.
I'll have to pre order.
Anyone know if there are pre order bonuses?

No bonuses per se, but you can order the Collectors Edition which comes with a new map, a sword and a battle axe.
EB Games do not have a release date listed for it at the moment though.

First thing I noticed - the game has HORRIBLE motion blur. It makes looking around confusing.

The game seems alright. I'm still in the prologue though (1 hour in).
Again, the camera blur is pissing me off, and the voice acting is average/below average. At the moment the game has me just running around and talking to people. The combat seems OK. The magic seems good.
The frame-rate can get a bit choppy.

One highlight has been the leveling up/upgrade system. It is rather robust and there seems to be many different paths.

Thanks gunn. I take it that it's third person then?
I will still pick it up even if it has some minor issues like the camera and stuff.

The combat is average. At the moment, the game gets a 6/10 from me.
I do have a feeling that it will grow on me, though.

Re: Two Worlds II

I was right; the game does grow on you. I'm actually quite enjoying it right now. I've wrapped my head around the inventory system/upgrading weapons/breaking down equipment/leveling up etc etc and it's really good.
I'm making sense of the map and quests too, which helps.

I still feel that the combat is a bit dodgy though, which is a shame. It's my major gripe. There's about a 5 second delay from when you press the button til your guy actually blocks.
Also, interacting with things (doors, horses, chests etc) can be finicky.

Any RPG fan will enjoy this, as long as they don't compare it to Demon's Souls and Oblivion.

So you got any tips for when we pick up the game?
Any skills that should be looked at early?

Tried the mp yet?
