Just got up to chapter 8. This is a great game. Everything seems so smooth. I love the pacing as well. It's not constant action and the gameplay is great. Some of the places are really eerie as well.

Im on chapter 10. I haven't played an fps campaign as good as this in a long time. Pacing is superb and the set pieces are amazing. That chapter in the abandoned railroad factory with all the grims was presented so well.

The best sound quality I think ive ever heard in a game, the best 3d effects ive seen, great weapons, awesome enemies, impressive setting and everything else makes this a game that all ps3 owners should buy. People should support good developers, especially ps3 exclusive devs.

Summed it up well. The level with all the grims was intense. Blood everywhere with more just pouring at you. Insomniac have done a great job. Wish they'd make the ratchet series as good as this though..

I just beat the game. Was great. The ending was a little rushed i think but a fantastic game none the less.
That town was a prick to do. What difficulty have you got it on?

As in going back to health pick ups? i think it was the right move. The original had the pick ups and it makes for a more tense experience. It stops you from just running and gunning. You actually have to think about what you're going to do. How are you liking it Crowley?

I always play on the highest difficulty available.

I've had a big day on the turps today so I havent had a chance to play R3. I am halfway through killing the monster in the mine shafts, though.

Ahh thats a shame. When you guys get round to playing online give us a shout. I'll be more then happy to play some games. Also i've found that the reason the online seemed poor when i was playing was because of the people i was playing with. I've got into a few aussie servers and it's run extremely well. Wish they'd show you what your ping is on the server though.

Played the first few chapters tonight. I really enjoyed it. The graphics have vastly improved while at the same time its enjoyable to play with weapons like the bullseye and auger again. The enemy is very hard and accurate with their shooting and I have died plenty of times already. Will play some more and post later. So far so very good!!

Got Plat. Was a little too easy.
R2 was good because it was difficult and took dedication. Oh well.

Finished it.

What a fantastic game. The visuals are top notch and very detailed (I thought R2's was rather flat) and the action is non stop! I loved it. The gore was great, the mine scene and prison were more scarey than RE5 and how awesome was it smashing people with the sledge hammer! On the down side it didn't go for that long, but ah well, quality over quantity.

It will be interesting to see where the next devleoper takes it from here (Insomniac are no longer exclusive to sony and sony probably have exclusive rights to the Resistance franchise).

I didn't find the prison that creepy for some reason. It had it's moments but overall i didn't think it was too bad. I think the town full of grims was worse. You were always just waiting for a grim to pop out of no where, or worse, hear them coming and see a wave of 10 or so charging at you from a random angle.

And you're right. Not only is insomniac multiplatform now they've also said they have no intentions of progressing the game any further at the moment. I think the ending needed a lot of work and there was a fair bit of the back story that never got explained so hopefully someone picks it up and does a bit of work to it.
