wottagunn wrote:Actually, I take that back. It has everything to do with Rockstar.

If a quiet developer (like Starbreeze) made Red Dead then nobody would have been watching the release of this game and it would not have been mentioned anywhere. Everybody would have missed out on this "amazing title".
Take Call of Juarez for instance. That is a really good western game, but who here played it? No one. Was there a discussion about it? No.

End of the day, it annoys me that the public only go for the big name titles, while the other quality games by not so well known developers get ignored, and thus people have nothing to compare RDR to, so they think it's great.
kinda like the paris hilton porno etc . you dont really care but you just have to watch it cause its paris hilton. Suspect

I went out and got this game yesterday and I am enjoying it very much. The freedom and ability to do whatever is great. I was not really a fan of GTA4 so this is a nice change. What's more amazing is that I haven't really been too phased that I've not got into a proper shoot out. I've been so immersed in the story missions and the environment I haven't even bothered yet.

Will be great to jump online and join a posse (I have no idea what the online's like) and join in on some good ol hoedowns cheers

I change my mind.

Fuck this game and Fuck Rockstar.

A glitch in the game that makes a mission unplayable for hundreds of people isn't a small glitch, it's shitty programming by a two bit developer who cares about nothing but lining it's own pockets.

Rockstar can fuck themselves, I'll never buy another one of their products.

well I finally got it working but it's a major glitch all the same and my stance still applies.

If anyone has issues with "the gates of El Presido" let me know.

I just reached the North/Blackwater part of the map. Somethings of the game are great but others really piss me off. The freeroam challenges for one really annoy me. Who the fuck wants to collect 6 desert sages, then 6 red sages, then 8 prickly pears, then 7 blue ploomers etc etc. What a load of bullshit.
and calling for your horse. I reckon 50% of the time it actually gets to me without getting lost or running around in circles. Fuck you Warhorse.
