I canceled my order of PoP. Can't be bothered playing it. The Sly Collection is on it's way to me, and hopefully it will arrive next week.

I don't rate the Splinter Cell series. It's really frustrating gameplay.

The latest issue of Famitsu reveals that Capcom will be bringing about a Resident Evil Revival Selection, which consists of Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica, hitting both PS3 and Xbox 360 in the form of full HD remakes.

Extra content is not yet explicitly mentioned, though that’s not to rule out future revelations. On that note, the version of Code Veronica being revamped is the PS2 version, which had a few cutscenes not included in the original Dreamcast edition (first released in 2000). Resident Evil 4 (having originally appeared on Nintendo GameCube in 2005) will include the five-chapter, grammatically odd “The Another Order” scenario for Ada Wong.

No release date for Resident Evil Revival Selection has been mentioned at this time, or if there is any chance we’ll see it released anywhere else but Japan.

http://playstationlifestyle.net/2011/03/23/resident-evil-4-code-veronica-resurrected-on-ps3/

Cool. RE4 is, for me, the greatest game of all time! I really enjoyed code Veronica as well. Will keep an eye on this one.

Despite having released on other platforms, Metal Gear Solid has always been strongly linked to the PlayStation platform, with all major releases coming to a PlayStation console, including the PS3 exclusive Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of The Patriots. If you’re new to the series, or want to relive some of the greatest moments in the franchise, you’re in luck – Konami have announced a Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.

MGS2: Sons of Liberty, MGS3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will all be coming to the PS3 and 360 in HD, Konami announced at their Pre-E3 Press Event. Peace Walker will not be part of the PSP Remaster series and rather just part of the collection. Trophies/Achievements, right analog stick and rumble support will be added, with improved audio and visuals. The collection is scheduled to release November 2011.

The collections will support Kojima’s new “lifestyle” called “Transfarring” (yes, Transfarring). PlayStation players will have one save that works with PS3 and PSP copies of certain games – play half way through a game on the PSP and then switch to PS3. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will be the first Transfarring capable title.

Stay tuned to PSLS for more coverage of the show as it happens.

http://playstationlifestyle.net/2011/06/02/metal-gear-solid-hd-collection-announced/

Fuck yes.

I have always wanted these games to come to the ps3 since they released GOW collection. I am stoked that they are releasing peace walker as well for this collection!

MGS1 isn't which sucks, but I have already played it on the PS1 and got in on GCN.

Can't wait!

Furthermore, suck shit xbox fans, you still don't get MGS4!

I played the demo last night and the game isn't for me. Having said that I thought they did a great job of making it HD.

I'd honestly love to seem them do a remake of the original Ratchet and clank. I got my ps2 out of the cupboard the other day and played it and still love it. I know it's not everyones cup of tea but i think it'd sell pretty well.

I second this. Up Your Arsenal is the best in the series and puts all the new ones to shame. I have no idea why they have decided to turn the franchise to fucking shit.

Hmm, i think ToD was the closest they got to the PS2 versions. The others have been not so great.
And i loved the jak series as well. The second one as my favourite out of the trilogy (Jak X doesn't count). Wouldn't mind seeing a proper ps3 release though. The guys at Naughty dog are pretty incredible.

Looks like they are making Jak & Dexter Trilogy HD collection.

http://playstationlifestyle.net/2011/11/09/jak-daxter-trilogy-edition-rated-for-playstation-3/

Keep em coming I say. I have loved the GOW remakes and I'm looking forward to Ico's and MGS collection! (I have Ico, havent had a chance to play it yet and while MGS has come out in USA, it won't till next year in PAL territories).

Rumor has it that there is a Ratchet an Clank HD collection on the way!

http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/02/ratchet-and-clank-hd-listed-on-amazon-france/

Since most of the HD collections have been getting good reviews and I think they have sold well, I would be very optimistic about this happening! I hope so, I would love to play "up your arsenal".

I hope they make it. Ratchet and Clank has been my favourite series since i started gaming (seeing as it got me into gaming) and i was pretty disappointed after Crack in time. This would be fantastic to play.

I've had a bit of spare time this weekend so i jumped on SSX and it's been fantastic and im going to pick up the jak and daxter collection before my long weekend next weekend. It was a shame it got delayed for a month but it'll be worth it.

Saw this earlier. So stoked to hear it. Wont be picking it up till later on in the year but it's a must buy on my list. Those games were some of the best. What's better is they're making them in 1080p as well.

They are making a Doom 3 remake including its expansion and will also include Doom 1 & 2. I never played Doom 3, was it any good? Anyone keen for this? I remember them talking about a Doom 4 years ago, this could be a lead up to an announcement for a sequel!

Bethesda has announced Doom 3 BFG Edition for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, marking the first time that a Doom title has been made available on PS3.

Doom 3 BFG Edition features remasters of both Doom 3 and its expansion pack, Resurrection of Evil. The game also includes new content in the form of “The Lost Mission,” seven new levels said to provide hours of gameplay. Doom 3, RoE, and The Lost Mission have all been optimized in 3D, have 5.1 surround sound support, Achievement and Trophy support, improved rendering and lighting, and include a new checkpoint system to make it easier to progress in the game. The controls have been fine-tuned for both single player and multiplayer as well.

Doom 3 gamers who wished for use of the flashlight while shooting will be glad to know that Doom 3 will include an “armor-mounted flashlight” for that exact purpose.

As a special bonus, Doom 3 BFG Edition will also include both the original Doom and Doom 2 video games.

John Carmack issued the following comment:

DOOM 3 was enthusiastically embraced by gamers worldwide at its release. Today, the full experience has been enhanced and extended to be better than ever, and is delivered across all the platforms with a silky smooth frame rate and highly responsive controls. New support for 3D TVs, monitors, and head mounted displays also allows players to experience the game with more depth than ever before. We think shooter fans everywhere will love it.

Doom 3 BFG Edition is currently scheduled to be released for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC sometime this Fall

I am keen for this. I was going to download Doom 2 on my iPhone haha.

I liked Doom 3. Though my pc at the time was too slow to run it properly.

I WILL be buying this. Wolfenstein 3D coming next? haha (also have this on my iphone)

Not really a PS2 to PS3 - but I really want the original Dark Forces games released on PS3. Then perhaps Jedi Knight and Jedi Academy.
So I think there's 5 games in total in that series.
